Haiku III opus 773

28 February 2026 1721 Hours Poetry

European bee
Introduced--pollination
Disaster pending.

Farmwork always there
Harvest chickens and turkeys
Well into the night.

Nora, my smart wife
Sage in the Breton language
Taught me many things.

Nora never had
Kids, but she always nurtured
Our two growing boys.

Now at eightyfour
I am content to relax
No rushing around.

Tooth under pillow
To anticipate dollar
'Thaler' in German.

'Be ashamed to die'
Horace Mann educator
'Before a good work.'

A small obelisk
Stands beside my path to class
'Accomplish something.'

My carved Tartan Stones
Created with a chisel
Spread throughout the lands.

Sally Sobottka
My dear friend in wildlife work
Resting peacefully.

A winter's dry time
No rain all January
Sudden bursting clouds.

Flowers for Marty
I gave flowers to this man
Never such a gift!

Leland and Esther
Married by a vineyard
A joy to know them.

Poems and Thoughts here
Express my love for the Earth
So much to produce.

Children in danger
Heat increases every year
Will it be controlled?

O'ce'ans too warm
Needless pollution spewed out
Stop this madness now.

O'ce'ans--acid
Live shells dissolved to nothing
Where is the balance?

Cast net to water
Surround many fish within
Haul pulled into shore.

Time--an illusion
Listen to your heart right now
Stay in the present.

Hand motions move geese
Swerve gaggle in direction
Group pressed to end goal.
