Metamorphosing More Into a Monk-Like Existence opus 761

I was super active farming and fundraising for wildlife openspace.
Now at 84, I am slower, meet fewer people, and more alone on my farm.
This reminds me of how Darwin's life evolved in isolation.
What kept us both going during these declining times,
Is our writings--thoughts and evaluations of the world,
Surpassing our tangible efforts; this might be what remains.
I now breathe and emulate more closely the life of a monk;
Hours alone, thoughts revealing themselves in my head;
Epistles thrown out into the winds—some agreeing, some opposed.
Perhaps my few writings may inspire a future generation
To sit up and think, considering a better future way.
Some writings of monks have surfaced centuries after their passing.
